MSC Chitra and MV Khalija-III two merchant ships collided due to technical and navigational error in the system of MSS Chitra. According to current new MSC Chitra is dipping at angle of 45 Degree and is expected to submerge in the Sea near Jawahar Lal Nehru Port Trust in Mumbai.
According to Indian Coast Guard officials, MSC Chitra was attempting to birth are Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT), when MV Khalija-III struck former vessel.
On SOS Message which was sent by MSC Chitra Crews was received by Indian Coast Guards, after this message the Coast Guard officials in a quick response divertedICG Kamala Devi for rescue operations; according to new all 35 crew members are saved.
