Wedding bells may come a-ringing for Tay Ping Hui soon. Although he refused to divulge more information of his previously-mentioned marital plans, this swinging bachelor "will not rule out jumping into marriage"
Caldecott Hill's resident heartthrob recently revealed to a local publication his newly-minted attached status and intentions to "get married after the general elections."
In an interview with xinmsn at the press conference for his latest drama series, New Beginnings, Ping Hui played it coy and nonchalantly countered "Did I say that?" when reporters quizzed him of his latest love interest.
"My dad is not young anymore. I definitely hope to get married and settle down before they pass on," he explained.
The 39-year-old vouched to keep us in the loop of his impending marital affairs, and reassured that he will neither "get married on the sly" nor "run away to another country" a la a certain Hong Kong Heavenly King.

The strappingly tall actor earnestly confided, "I find that you may know a girl for more than 10 years, but may not understand her at all. Similarly, you may know a girl for three months and yet understand her completely. As long as the feeling is right, and your female partner knows that you are 'the one', and you know that she is the one you'll want to spend the rest of your life with, that is ok."
Unlike his usual clean-shaven hottie appearances, Ping Hui sported scraggly-looking facial hair for his upcoming Ch 8 CID/informant drama series with fellow MediaCorp artistes Chen Liping and Rui En. The man loves it and finds it a "manlier" look. He jokingly commented that he might "start looking like the wise-old sage Confucius" if he doesn't trim it anytime soon.
When asked if his girlfriend is bowled over by his new stubble, the tightlipped one refused to comment, and instead, pulls longtime friend Ix Shen into the picture. "Ix Shen really loves it a lot because he can't seem to grow this kind of beards."
