Yendi Phillipps (born September 8, 1985) is the winner of the Miss Jamaica World 2007 beauty pageant. She is of black and partial Indo-Jamaican descent. She credits her mother, who died when she was younger for her Confidence and Drive and dedicated her win to her. She represented Jamaica at the Miss World 2007 contest held in Sanya, China on December 1.
Personal Life:
She holds a bachelor's degree of fine arts with a concentration in dance from the State University of New York at Brockport and a Master's degree in Recreation and Leisure Management. She attended St. Andrew High School for Girls in Kingston, Jamaica. Phillipps previously hosted Digicel Rising Stars.
Miss World 2007:
She became the first contestant in history to make it to the finals of all the fast track events at Miss World 2007. She was 1st runner-up in Miss World Beach Beauty and a finalist in the Miss World Sports, Miss World Talent, Miss World Top Model and the Beauty With A Purpose Award. During the telecast, she made the final top 16.
Miss Universe 2010:
She was crowned Miss Jamaica Universe 2010 on July 3, 2010. She has represented Jamaica at the Miss Universe 2010 pageant in Las Vegas on August 23, 2010. Phillipps scored the highest in swimsuit and came in second in evening gown. She became the first runner up behind Mexico.

The young woman received the crown from the winner in 2009, the Venezuelan Stefania Fernandez. A native of Guadalajara, the new Miss Universe, has been modeling since the age of 15 years, wearing a red evening gown, she intends to start dietary studies.
The young Mexican was offered a scholarship for one year at the New York Film Academy, as well as free shoes and beauty products for a year also.
