Bet League wants to buy the soothsayer and hire him as a bookmaker with a salary of 5,000 dollars a month, reported Soviet Sport newspaper.
“He will be one of our 120 staff employees…Our specialists receive around 3,000 dollars a month. So we will pay Paul 5,000″ Oleg Zhuravsky, co-owner of Bet League, is quoted as saying.
Zhuravsky is ready to pay the Sea Life oceanarium attraction in the German city of Oberhausen, where Paul resides, as much as 100,000 euros.
The Bet League is on the verge of signing an exclusive agreement with the Russian Premier League, under which 50 percent of the bookmaking company’s profits will be earmarked for the development of football in Russia.
The eight-legged oracle shot up to popularity during the recently concluded FIFA World Cup 2010. Paul had predicted the outcome of the football World Cup matches with 100 per cent accuracy.
