Jabbawockeez returned to stage where it all began for them on the July 28 episode of ‘America’s Got Talent’. Apart from completely wowing the audience with their almost superhuman dancing skills, the group also debuted a single called ‘Robot Remains’. The audience could also get a sneak peek into their ‘MU.S.I.C’ show that is set to return for its third run at Las Vegas next month.
The first season winners of ‘America’s Best Dance Crew’ were seen at their creative best on the dance floor as they started off with a slow melodious track and then went on to groove to a more hardcore techno number. Considering that Fighting Gravity is one of the biggest contenders this season, Jabbawockeez served them as a perfect example of how far a dance group can go in terms of innovation and technique. Host Nick Cannon also appeared in the typical Jabbawockeez mask at the end of the performance.
The Jabbawockeez appeared in the second season of ‘America’s Got Talent’ but were eliminated in the Vegas call back episode. They however won the first season of America’s Best Dance Crew’ in spite of their group’s mentor and dancer Gary Kendall passing away due to pneumonia and meningitis in the same year as the auditions. Since then the group have gone on to become a well known phenomenon in music videos, commercials and even movies. They appeared in the movies ‘Step Up’ and ‘Step Up 2 The Streets’ but most of their performance was deleted in the latter. They also debuted on stage at Las Vegas this year in May and both their shows have been sell-outs.
