The Nintendo 3D release date and price point are well guarded pieces of information. The Nintendo 3D release date and price point were expected to be revealed at the 2010 E3 Conference this week, but instead Nintendo
merely left gamers wanting more from the handheld gaming console. Nintendo 3DS rumors had been pretty extreme, many of them stating that Nintendo would have a release date to announce at the E3 Conference, and that they would also be revealing what the price points would be. Neither of those facts about the new Nintendo handheld were even hinted at, leaving gamers in the dark about when to expect the Nintendo 3DS to actually hit the market. There are several sites out there claiming to have the release date information in their back pocket, but none of that information has come directly from Nintendo at this point.
The Nintendo 3DS release date and price point may have been off the table during the presentation at the 2010 E3 press conference, but Nintendo had an awful lot to tease about. The Nintendo 3DS will of course be their jaunt into the world of 3D gaming, and they are going to do it in a compact handheld device. For those familiar with Nintendo products, the 3DS is very similar to the DSi in its appearance, coming with a better 3.5 inch 3D screen along the top half when the device is open. The bottom will have a touch screen with a nice analog slide button to be used in conjunction with the regular Nintendo controls (D-pad and letter keys). Here is an article that talks about all of the new software that could appear on the new Nintendo 3DS, but even this was just a tease for now.
